Family, friends, and fellow musicians bid farewell to the remains of musician and singer Luis Antonio “Papo” Rosario, who was a member of El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico for 38 years.
As anticipated and in accordance with his wishes, a mass was held at the Nuestra Señora De La Asunción parish in honor of the singer, who immortalized songs such as “Carbonerito”.
Among those who attended were Jerry Rivas, Anthony García, as well as singers Charlie Aponte, Luisito Carrión, Andy Montañez, Maelo Ruiz, Gilberto Santarosa, and musicians Don Periñón and Humberto Ramírez.
Rosario's death occurred a week after the passing of Rafael Ithier Natal, the founder of El Gran Combo 63 years ago.
