Puerto Rican singer Rauw Alejandro will make his cinematic debut in Guy Ritchie’s ‘Viva La Madness’, whose production began this January, Sony Music revealed this Wednesday. ‘Viva La Madness’ was written by Ritchie and JJ Connolly, with Ritchie directing and based on a Connolly novel of the same name. The film stars Jason Statham and features Jason Isaacs, Vinnie Jones, Babs Olusanmokun, Camila Mendes, Emmy Ben Foster, and Jonny Lee Miller in its cast. Black Bear will distribute the film in the United States, while Amazon MGM Studios will distribute in most international territories. Thus, the two-time Latin Grammy winner Rauw Alejandro joins other Puerto Rican singers who have debuted in cinema, such as Bad Bunny and Residente.
