Puerto Rico Recovers from Massive Blackout

Almost 99% of customers in Puerto Rico regained electric service this Friday, less than 48 hours after a massive blackout occurred due to a failure in a transmission line. This was confirmed by the latest bulletin from LUMA Energy, the company responsible for electricity transmission and distribution on the island.

"We are very pleased to report that the vast majority of our customers already have electric supply again," emphasized a spokesperson for LUMA Energy, highlighting the rapid work carried out to restore electricity in the affected region.

The blackout originated from a failure in a transmission line, which caused service interruption in numerous areas of Puerto Rico. Despite the magnitude of the problem, the company managed to resolve the situation in record time, and the vast majority of citizens now have light in their homes.

The effective response from LUMA Energy has been crucial in minimizing the inconveniences caused by this incident and restoring normalcy to the lives of the island's residents.
