Mireddys González, the ex-wife of the artist known as "Servant" Daddy Yankee, has filed a new lawsuit in the Federal Court of San Juan, Puerto Rico. In the lawsuit, she accuses the famous artist of conspiring not to fulfill the agreement reached in October and is demanding $50 million.
According to information released by local media, in December 2024, the corporations El Cartel Records and Los Cangris, Inc. approved the declaration of $100 million in dividends, which were to be divided equally between González and Ramón Luis Ayala Rodríguez.
It appears that the money was to be deposited into separate bank accounts that both parties hold at Oriental Bank. However, Mireddys alleges that within less than 24 hours of the funds being credited, they were reversed without legal authorization.
In her complaint, Mireddys accuses her ex-husband of maintaining a plan with FirstBank to deprive her of the dividends to which she was entitled. For this reason, the banking entities FirstBank and Oriental Bank have also been named as co-defendants.
The ex-wife of the celebrity is requesting that the $50 million be returned to her, as well as compensation for compensatory and statutory damages, injunctions against future interference, a judicial declaration of the illegality of the reversal, and the joint and several liability of the involved banks and insurers.
