Puerto Rican singer Rauw Alejandro will make his film debut in Guy Ritchie's 'Viva La Madness', which began production in January of this year, Sony Music revealed this Wednesday. Thus, the two-time Latin Grammy winner joins other Puerto Rican singers who have debuted in film, such as Bad Bunny and Residente. 'Viva La Madness' was written by Ritchie and J.J. Connolly, directed by Ritchie, and is based on Connolly's novel of the same name. His acclaimed album 'Cosa Nuestra' competed for the Grammy for Best Latin Pop Album, while his 'Cosa Nuestra World Tour' sold nearly a million tickets across 75 concerts in the United States, Europe, and Latin America. The film stars Jason Statham and features Jason Isaacs, Vinnie Jones, Babs Olusanmokun, Camila Mendes, Emmy winner Ben Foster, and Jonny Lee Miller. Black Bear will distribute the film in the United States, while Amazon MGM Studios will distribute it in most international territories.
