Daddy Yankee Hires Banking Security Firm

The Puerto Rican singer Daddy Yankee has decided to hire a company specialized in banking security to organize his corporations El Cartel Record, Inc. and Los Cangris, Inc., amid the dispute with his still-wife Mireddys González. The selected company is CCG Consultants LLC, led by Carlos Cases Gallardo, former head of the FBI in Puerto Rico, according to the corporations' lawyer, Jean Paul Vissepó Garriga.

Vissepó Garriga mentioned that Cases Gallardo's experience and background will be crucial to ensure the transparency and optimal functioning of the corporations in this new stage. The main objective is to organize the corporations transparently following the rigorous standards set by Daddy Yankee, who now serves as president of his companies.

During the transition process, the absence of essential documents and a significant lack of relevant information have been noted. For this reason, Cases Gallardo will collaborate with his company and a team of financial advisors to resolve questions arising from the lack of documentation, the lawyer explained.

For her part, Mireddys González and her sister Ayeisha must provide all documents and digital access to the corporations' bank accounts, a request that has not yet been fully satisfied. Last week, González requested the court to appoint a judicial administrator for the corporations due to their lack of functioning stemming from the dispute with her husband, a request to which Daddy Yankee opposed, labeling it as "legally erroneous" and "totally unwarranted."

The confrontation for control of El Cartel Records and Los Cangris Inc. began following transfers totaling 100 million dollars from the corporate bank accounts to personal accounts of both parties by the González sisters, without the artist's authorization. These events occurred after Daddy Yankee confirmed his separation from González after nearly three decades of marriage and two children together.

In the current legal process, before Judge Anthony Cuevas, the only pending issue is the contempt petition for non-compliance filed by the González sisters, according to the artist's lawyers.
