Bad Bunny and Label Sued for $16 Million

A Puerto Rican singer sued Bad Bunny and his record label, claiming her voice was used without her consent in two songs, leading to a $16 million lawsuit.

Puerto Rican singer Tainaly Y. Serrano Rivera has sued Bad Bunny and his record label Rimas Entertainment for $16 million. She alleges that her voice was used without her consent in the songs "Solo de mí" (2018) and "EoO" (2025).

According to court documents, her voice was used without compensation, attribution, or rights to the songs, promotions, albums, concerts worldwide, and on social and musical platforms, as well as on television and radio. In 2018, producer Roberto J. Rosado, known as La Paciencia, asked Serrano Rivera to record a voice message saying "Mira puñeta, no me quiten el perreo". The plaintiff states that she was not informed of the purpose of the recording or that her identity would be used and exploited commercially.

"The voice of Tainaly Y. Serrano Rivera was used without her consent in both songs, without compensation, without legal attribution or rights for the songs, promotions, albums, concerts worldwide, and social and musical platforms, television and radio, among other things, thus violating her rights and the author's moral rights in its right of attribution modality", the lawsuit details.

The lawsuit also includes the use of her voice in Bad Bunny's residency concerts at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico, in promotional material, and in the singer's merchandise.
